Financial Aid
College is expensive--but it can be a worthwhile investment. If you think about college in terms of opportunity cost, you can see that not going to college often costs far more dollars, in the long run, than not going. Sometimes the initial costs seem too high--fortunately, financial aid programs can make a big difference. All students are eligible for federal loans, and some students are eligible for federal grants. There are also national, state, and local scholarships--and many colleges have great merit aid programs. See more here:Financing College
All students should apply for Federal financial aid every year - almost all students who file receive some type of funding. This form also makes students eligible to apply for the extensive list of local scholarships.
