OHCHS Summer School Announcement

Summer school will be available for enrolled students who have failed English, Social Studies, Math, Science, Health, French, and/or Spanish.  Students are encouraged to make up credits during our summer school program to ensure adequate progress toward graduation requirements.

Summer school will begin on Tuesday, July 5th in the Library

(If a student wishes to begin later, he/she must receive the teacher's approval on an individual basis)

Classes will start at 8:00 am, end at noon, and run Monday through Thursday through the month of July.

Transportation is provided from each town’s elementary school with arrangements coordinated through the Bus Garage.  Please call 743-5621.

Each student will sign an individual contract for work required.  The length of the summer school session will be determined on an individual basis and depends on a combination of how diligently he/she works and how high or low the failing grade.

Programs will be designed specifically for the student with the intent of providing support in problem areas and helping the student to reach enough of the objectives and standards to earn a passing grade.

The cost of the summer school program is $80 per credit.  Waivers are available on a case by case basis with approval by Mr. Moccia.  You may download a copy of the Summer School Registration form at the OHCHS Guidance Department website: http://www.ohchs.sad17.k12.me.us/~OHCHSguidance/FOV1-0007D580/Summer%20School%20Registration%20Form.pdf?Plugin=Box
